MEAN WELL has announced the introduction of 2W & 3W miniature regulated single output DC/DC converters – SPA02 / SPB03 series – for the growing demands of miniature size applications. With single-in-line packaging, these 2W /3W converters use identical plastic case (0.86” x 0.36” x 0.44”) which is less than 1/3 in volume compare to our existing 3W products ~ SCW03. Although with that small size, SPA02 & SPB03 can work at full load up to 70℃ of ambient temperature. Under 85℃of extreme high temperature, they can still provide 50% of output power.

SPA02 and SPB03 series are designed to comply with the standard pin assignment in the market that offers a better choice for users who has cost and space concerns. Standard features include 2:1 wide input range, 1000VDC input / output isolation, low ripple noise, low cost, CE / FCC compliance, and short circuit/overload protection. Besides, fully encapsulated packaging can help them withstand the influence of dust and moisture comes from all kinds of harsh environment. Suitable applications include industrial control, telecom/datacom, and distributed power architecture related installations.
